A video installation that challenges the idea of documentary making by linking an interview about Social Ecology recorded at Nomadic Island Camp in Luxemburg with the anthropologist Eleanor Finley and the sea lion community of San Cristobal Island, part of the Galapagos archipelago.

The explanations of the voice-over in relation to the documentary-style images of animals generate a short circuit in the viewer aimed at metaphorically elaborating the ideas suggested in the message, altering the visual perception of the installation.

The original display happened in the Summer of 2022 in Nomadic Island, part of Esch2022 European Capital of Culture. The video was available inside a wooden box where the audience had to look in.
